Columbia University was established in 1754, and this vintage photograph depicting a portion of the Upper Manhattan campus was captured centuries later, in 1903. At the center of the frame sits Low Memorial Library, and the Hudson River is just barely visible in the background, beyond the tree line.
Our team has digitally restored this historic university photo, bringing this moment from the past into the present. Working from a digital scan of the original glass negative, we've digitally repaired damage, removed dust, and correctef fading. With this expert work done, our reproduction prints reflect the original, pristine condition of the image. Our prints are made with archival, museum-quality paper and canvas, each of which is rated to last over 100 years. You can find a bit more information about our prints here!
We offer a range of standard sizes for our prints, but we understand sometimes you just need something custom to fit your space! If you'd like to request a custom-sized print, please reach out! We're happy to answer any questions and work with you to get the perfect print.
