Born in 1818, Frederick Douglass escaped slavery in Maryland in 1838 and became a national leader of the abolitionist movement. Douglass has written three autobiographies reflecting on his experiences as an enslaved person, and gained fame for his writings, as well as his orations. 

Our team has digitally restored this historic portrait photograph of Douglass, and we have fine art prints available on both paper and canvas.
