Built in 1897, Pyne Library (now East Pyne Building) helped expand Princeton's needs for additional library space. Pyne and Chancellor Green served as the university library until Firestone Library was completed in 1948. Today, the building houses offices and classrooms. In this vintage photograph, we get glimpses of the striking building through the lush trees that stand in front of it, and two students can be seen walking through the archway at the center of the building. Captured in 1900, this unique vintage photograph takes viewers to Princeton University over a century ago.
We've digitally restored this beautiful vintage image, returning it to its original, pristine condition, free of the wear and tear of time.
