This vintage map proves that maps can also be works of art. Creator John Henry Renshawe used paint to indicate relief, showing distinct peaks and valleys without the contour lines found on most topographical maps. Depicting Mount Rainier National Park, the map highlights the snowcapped peak just slightly off-center in the frame. This map was created in 1914, as part of Renshawe's work for the U.S. Geological Survey.
We've carefully digitally restored this beautiful vintage map, returning it to its original condition, free of dust, dirt, and damage, and corrected for fading and discoloration.
