Shore Line of Roaring Brook, Michigan

Many of the photographs in our collection depict historic landmarks and significant moments. Others, like this one, offer a look at some quieter moments in history. Their intrigue comes not from towering historical architecture, but from the simple appeal of a beautiful landscape. This photograph, captured between 1900 and 1910, depicts a section of Roaring Brook's shoreline in Michigan. This moment would be incredibly difficult to place in time, were it not for the women standing at the shoreline. Her clothing offers viewers the key to placing this serene image in time.

We have digitally restored this beautiful image, removing all traces of the wear and tear of time. We have digitally corrected faded, removed dust and dirt, and repaired damage. With this work done, we're able to offer reproduction prints that reflect the original condition of the image.
