This vintage photograph of Sibley Hall was captured in 1904, three decades after the building was constructed. The building was the gift of University of Rochester trustee Hiram Sibley, and was considered the first "fireproof" structure in Rochester. The staircases and beams were made of iron, and the building was constructed with an airspace between the outer limestone and inner brick walls. Sibley Hall served many purposes for the University before being sold and eventually demolished in 1968.

Our team has digitally restored this old university photo; we've repaired damage, cleaned up dust and dirt, and corrected fading. Thanks to this work, our reproduction prints reflect the original, pristine condition of the image, free of the wear and tear of time. Our prints are available in a range of sizes on both fine art paper and canvas. Canvas prints can be ordered already stretched onto a hardwood frame, ready to hang on the wall immediately. All of our print materials are archival, rated to last 100+ years.
