The University of Minnesota Armory was constructed in 1896, shortly after the campus's previous space for military training burned in a fire. This historic photograph was captured with a glass negative less than a decade later, in 1905. The facility has served many purposes over the years, but it is currently home to classrooms and offices of the University's three ROTC units.
Working from a scan of the original glass negative, our team has digitally restored this vintage photograph, returning it to its original, pristine condition. With our digital image now free of damage, dust, dirt, and fading, we are able to produce flawless reproduction prints. Our prints are made with care at our studio in Alexandria, Virginia. We use archival, museum-quality materials; our paper and canvas are both rated to last 100+ years, so you can be sure your prints will last a lifetime. You can read more about our prints here.
The print sizes we offer are standard sizes to help make framing easier, but we know that sometimes you need something unique to fit your space. If you'd like to request a custom size, please contact us! We're happy to accommodate custom size requests whenever possible.
