The Wabash Pittsburgh Terminal opened in April 1904, and this vintage photograph of the building was taken a year later, in 1905. A majority of the building held hundreds of offices for the Wabash Railway Corporation. The terminal served passenger traffic until 1931, after which point it continued on as a freight-only terminal. After its eventual closing, the building was demolished in 1953. The Gateway Center complex now stands in the location of this historic railroad station.
As the building itself no longer exists, photographic records are now the only way to view it and preserve its history. Our team has lovingly digitally restored this historic photograph so that our reproduction prints are true to the original condition of the image.
Our paper and stretched canvas prints can be ordered in a number of sizes, so there is sure to be something for every space. Still, if you don't see an option that works for you, don't hesitate to contact us! We're happy to discuss custom sizes and projects.
